Changes to our account offering from 20th December

The FXOpen Team

As part of FXOpen’s commitment to providing you with the most advanced and competitive trading environment, we would like to advise that STP, Crypto, and Micro accounts will be discontinued on Friday, 20th December 2024.

What Does This Mean for You?

For STP and Crypto account holders:

To continue trading seamlessly, open an ECN account today by:

  • Logging into your Client Portal.
  • Navigating to the ‘Accounts’ section.
  • Clicking ‘Add an Account’ and following the prompts.

Key Dates:

As of Friday, 6th December, STP and Crypto accounts without open positions will be in Close Only mode.

On Friday 20th December after 22:00 GMT, open positions and funds will be transferred to your ECN account (if created). Otherwise, positions will be closed at market prices, and your balance moved to your Main account.

For Micro Account Holders:

Please close all open positions by 22:00 GMT on Friday, 20th December. Any positions still open after this time will be closed at the market price, and remaining balances transferred to your Main account.

Micro accounts without open positions will enter Close Only mode from 6th December 2024.

Why choose an ECN account?

With an ECN account, you will trade on the raw price from the banks and liquidity providers and pay a small commission, from $1.5 per lot. This is the most cost-effective form of FX trading and is ideal for executing large volume trades. Furthermore, an ECN account allows you to trade over 700 markets from one account, including forex, commodities, shares, ETFs, indices and cryptocurrency CFDs.
